      What we do

      Cosphatec takes care of skin tolerance and of nature at the same time. We use bio-degradable raw materials that are derived from sustainable and natural sources. These are all tested according to the highest German quality standards to guarantee the best possible effect on the skin.

      All of our raw materials are vegan and do not contain any GMO.

      Natural Alternative Preservatives

      Our most popular product range, which includes the raw materials we love the most: Sourced from 100 % natural and sustainable sources, bio-degradable and all approved by COSMOS. Cosphaderm® Natural Multifunctionals have strong antimicrobial activity and provide microbial stability for multiple personal care applications – although they are not listed as preservatives according to the EU Cosmetics Regulation, they are the perfect replacement for traditional preservatives.       Cosphaderm® LA-T

      Cosphaderm® LA-T is a multifunctional blend of natural levulinic acid and its sodium salt solubilized in water and glycerol. As a liquid and water-soluble product, it is conveniently applicable in all kinds of cosmetic formulations. This combination of a mild organic acid with a classical moisturizer unites skin conditioning and Humectant properties. Another property of the blend is the convincing antimicrobial efficacy, especially against bacteria, up to a pH value of 6.0.

      Cosphaderm® Sodium pAS natural is the sodium salt of plant-derived anisic acid. Due to its gentle and pleasant odour, Cosphaderm® Sodium pAS natural can be used as a masking agent to cover undesired odours from other ingredients.       Cosphaderm® Sodium LAAS

      Cosphaderm® Sodium LAAS is a white powder comprising a solid mixture of sodium levulinate and sodium anisate. This blend displays skin conditioning and masking properties as well as a broad antimicrobial efficacy. The corresponding acids of both salts display a strong combined antimicrobial efficiency against bacteria, yeasts and moulds. Accordingly, Cosphaderm® Sodium LAAS can ensure a formulation’s microbiological stability as a stand-alone solution without the use of traditional Preservatives. The optimal pH range for Cosphaderm® Sodium LAAS is between 5.3 and 6.0 to keep antimicrobial activity and solubility in perfect balance. This makes it a perfect choice for formulations at skin pH.

      Cosphaderm® Magnolia Extract 98

      Cosphaderm® Magnolia Extract 98 is a natural extract from the bark of the magnolia tree. A gentle and sustainable supercritical CO2 extraction process is used to obtain a highly pure, standardised product consisting of the isomers magnolol and honokiol. The product is supplied in the form of an almost odourless, cream-coloured powder that is dispersible in water.       Cosphaderm® Zinc Lactate natural is the zinc salt of lactic acid and is used in oral care products and deodorants to fight malodours.       Cosphaderm® CHA

      Cosphaderm® CHA is the hydroxamic acid of caprylic acid. The natural organic acid is a chelator and antimicrobial with a strong efficacy against a broad spectrum of microorganisms, especially yeasts and moulds. In contrast to other organic acids, Cosphaderm® CHA remains undissociated even at neutral pH and is therefore applicable over a broad pH range up to pH 7.5.       Cosphaderm® GeMix

      Cosphaderm® GeMix is a multifunctional blend of glyceryl caprylate and glyceryl undecylenate. Produced from natural sources, it is a biodegradable blend with emollient, emulsifying, moisturizing, skin and hair conditioning as well as re-fatting properties. Cosphaderm® GeMix combines the additional antimicrobial properties of both ingredients in one raw material. Glyceryl caprylate provides a strong antimicrobial efficiency against bacteria and yeasts whereas glyceryl undecylenate shows great efficiency against gram-positive bacteria, yeasts and moulds.       Cosphaderm® AP is the lipophilic ester of ascorbic acid and palmitic acid. The palmityl ester possesses improved skin penetration and stability properties compared to ascorbic acid.       Cosphaderm® KG is a natural, NON GMO, food-approved glucomannan derived from konjac flour (Amorphophallus konjac). The water-soluble, high-molecular-weight glucomannan polysaccharide consists of D-mannose and D-glucose units.       Cosphaderm® E-1000Ac NON GMO is a blend of tocopheryl acetate and non-GMO sunflower oil. It contains a minimum total amount of 73.5 % d-alpha-tocopheryl acetate, equivalent to 1000 IU/g of vitamin E. Due to its stability, tocopheryl acetate is the most commonly used cosmetic vitamin E derivative.
